Febreze

I smelled like vitamins all last week. There may be more fragrant vitamins out there, but mine smell really nasty. It’s not a good scent to be wearing around.
I’m forever fishing things out of pockets when I do the laundry. I can always tell what my children are eating, outside of the lunch they leave home with, by the wrappers in their pockets. Cotter is famous for leaving pens in his pockets. My dryer looks a bit like a Pollock painting thanks to my lovely son. I’ve also found wadded up homework that made me cringe and once I washed a set of headphones and a USB.
Pockets are not a laundry doers best friends. After Cotter’s last Sharpie, I’ve been trying hard to remember to check the pockets. Haven’t had an entire pack of gum or a package of tissues explode in a while until…the vitamins.
Those of you smart enough to not choke down twelve vitamins a day just because Dr. Weil says it’s a good idea may not fully understand the extent of the nastiness of the vitamins. I’m not even sure I can do it justice.
It’s sort of a moldy, earthy, body odor, vinegar, molasses smell. It’s the kind of smell that comes and goes. One minute you think you’re okay and then it’s there. Similar to when you leave your clothes in the washer too long and then instead of washing them again you just dry them with extra sheets of fabric softener hoping that’ll fix it.
No, that’s more of a mildew smell which is bad enough, but the vitamin smell is almost unbearable.
Apparently not though, because I went all last week wearing various items with the vitamin smell. I could have rewashed the load and it’s a sad statement that I’d rather smell like a compost then have one more load of laundry to do, but there it is.
In my defense, I didn’t know I’d washed the vitamins until I found the little empty pack in the dryer. The clothes were already dry…who rewashes a perfectly done load? Not me.
It’s a new week and all the vitamin clothes have been worn and rewashed. I’m back to smelling like myself again. I should probably remember this the next time my children send something through the wash.
My thoughts from the laundry room. Wash the Sheets.

My guess is that it’s genetic; your mother always hated doing laundry.
Hahaha. I just had Mom to my house for Christmas and told her about this comment. Her response…”I don’t know what she’s talking about.” I just laughed. Thanks for visiting Sib! Wishing you a wonderful new year.
