Silly Skirt

Fun.

So important to have and often hard to find as adults, unless shots of Tequila are involved.

My sides hurt by the time I dropped my son off at school this morning.  He has mastered fun.

Granted he’s only 15, so there’s not a whole lot to worry about, but he is a fun and funny child.

We sang “It’s Getting Hot in Here” and then “Let Me Love You”, the Glee version, all the way to school.  There’s a line in the later that says the guy’s going to give his girl “a fist full of diamonds and a hand full of rings”  I was crying, I was laughing so hard.

I know, not traditional wholesome, sing with your kids songs, but I don’t care.

It was fun and we laughed.  Not that polite, “Oh, yes that was funny.” laugh.  I’m talking about belly laughing with some snorts in there.

Children do that, they bring that to your life.

All of my children have a  great sense of humor.  They can see the funny side of most situations, they’re masters at these obscure movie quotes and when I’m having a really crappy day, as often happens to adults, they make me laugh.

Such a gift.
